The Orthopedic unit is a steady, collaborative environment. Dealing with a range of orthopedic surgeries, there s always something new coming in!
Qualifications
Schedule: 8 hour shifts; Monday Friday, no weekends or holidays
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :Admit and prep patients for orthopedic proceduresKeeping a close eye on vital signs and responding when neededAdministering medications and providing pain managementDischarging patients post procedureQualifications:
A valid RN licenseBedside nursing experienceACLS preferredStrong communication skills and ability to work in a teamEducation/Experience
Minimum Required:
A graduate of an accredited school of NursingPreferred:
Bachelor of Science degree in NursingPrevious clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory settingLicense/Certification
Minimum Required:
Current NYS RN LicensePreferred:
Professional certification in a related nursing specialtyRelevant skills certification (i.e., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by home unit assigned.About United Health Services
