We are currently looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to join our team in Decatur, Illinois.
*PURPOSE OF POSITION *
Reporting directly to the Q. A. Manager, the Quality Assurance Manager is responsible to facilitate the development, implementation and adherence to the QMS (Quality Management system. Working with other staff to establish procedures and quality standards and to monitor these against agreed targets.
*Task and Responsibilities: *
Safety:
Sets an example for all plant employees by performing all quality functions in a safe manner and encourages safety as a staff member on the plant floor.Ensure outside visitors are aware of, and, comply with Nortrak safety practices and requirements.
Quality:
Take a lead role to facilitate timeliness when a customer complaint is received.
Define the levels of incoming, in-process, and final inspections suitable to the product and process.
Schedule audits and ensure they are performed to a suitable standard, ensure deficiencies are recorded and addressed with appropriate corrective actions.
Develop, maintain and control quality records associated to product verification, measuring equipment calibration and material certification.
Actively ensures compliance with the Nortrak QMS.
Responsible for Quality Control Analysis. Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
Troubleshoot and determine causes of operating errors and decide what to do about it.
