Job Summary:

Operates a Class B Hazmat vehicle, delivering compressed and liquid gas cylinders and hard goods along designated routes. Collects empty cylinders from customers. Records transactions and obtains signatures. Addresses customer inquiries, ensuring satisfaction. Handles loading/unloading. Conducts pre/post-trip vehicle checks, noting issues and ensuring safety compliance. Presents a professional appearance and upkeeps the vehicle's condition.Job Description:

Meet required physical driver qualifications.Proficiency in English language for communication, signs, and documentation.Strong verbal skills, self-motivation, attention to detail, and goal-oriented.Analytical problem-solving for customer inquiries.Positive team player with adaptability.Ability to comprehend MSDS and perform lifting tasks.Must be able to drive Hazmat cargo for up to 8 hours, frequent bending is also required.Ability to routinely lift 25 - 75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 100 lbs.Must be able to work overtime when necessary.Outdoor work in varying temperatures.Operation of warehouse equipment including forklift and pallet jack.Adherence to safety regulations and policies.Valid driver's license and necessary endorsements.Willingness to work outdoors in changing temperatures.Ability to maintain a drug-free workplace.Safely load/unload, deliver, and retrieve cylinders and hard goods.Maintain accurate load manifests and documents.Foster strong customer relationships, provide cost and delivery information.Monitor and adjust cylinder levels to prevent emergencies.Assist in inventory, housekeeping, and showroom tasks.Qualifications and Competencies:

Minimum age: 21 years.Must have a Class B or better Commercial Drivers' License with HAZMAT endorsement.Successful completion of Airgas Background and Motor Vehicle Check.DOT Clearinghouse verification from previous employers is required.One year of experience driving similar commercial vehicles within the last five years or completion of an accredited truck driving school program.High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse individuals.Ability to work in a drug-free environment.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Must have at least one year of CDL Class A or B driving experience with like equipment or graduated from an accredited truck driving school.

LANGUAGE SKILLS :

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the Company.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS :

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and to calculate percent.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions.
