The Parents Place program is the parent education arm of JFCS' Center for Children and Youth. We offer expert guidance, parent coaching, and workshops to help families navigate parenting challenges from infancy through teen years.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Director of Parents Place, the Coordinator plans and implements child and parent education programs that are responsive to the needs of constituents of Parents Place.

Designs and implements a creative, age-appropriate program for children and parents using the Drop-In CenterOrganizes and maintains the space and equipment in the Play Area, meeting Agency standards for cleanlinessKeeps accurate records of the unduplicated number of children and parents served in the Drop-In CenterProvide written materials for Parent workshops and other CCY programsRepresent Parents Place to the community as requested, to increase support for the program and to ensure that the community is aware of Parents Place as a resourceActs as a positive role model for parents and refers parents to parent education groups and workshopsJOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in education, social work, counseling, required or equivalent experience requiredProven knowledge and understanding of parent-child interactions, child development and the needs of parents, and childrenProven experience in facilitating support groups and educational workshops
