Job Description:
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities while expanding the client's offerings within assigned markets. This role involves managing the entire sales process, from creating account plans to developing sales pipelines. The BDM will work closely with customers to understand their needs and position the client's products and services as solutions. While not a managerial role, this position includes mentoring Field Sales Representatives (FSRs) as needed.
Key Responsibilities:New Business Development:
Identify and develop new business opportunities, leveraging existing relationships to increase revenue and market share.Sales Strategy Execution:
Manage account strategies and sales pipelines, crafting and delivering proposals for both new and existing clients.Customer Relations:
Understand customer needs and articulate the value of the client's offerings, targeting prospects where distribution strengths offer a competitive edge.Market Insight:
Keep abreast of industry trends and provide actionable insights to enhance the client's market position.Mentorship:
Support and mentor Field Sales Representatives (FSRs), aiding in their professional growth and development.Additional Projects:
Participate in special projects and other tasks to support broader business goals.Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in solution-based sales within a relevant industry, with a proven track record of closing deals at various management levels.Skills:
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet objectives.Goal-Driven:
Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and executing strategic plans.Additional Details:
Education:
A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Finance is preferred, though equivalent experience will be considered.Physical Requirements:
Must be able to perform tasks that include standing, bending, and lifting up to 10 lbs.Perks:
