Description Leidos Dig Mod Health IT division is seeking an Application Delivery/Load Balancing Team Lead on a large network services opportunity supporting the Health Agency in Montgomery County, MD. This opportunity will support the very important mission of National Institutes of Health (NIH) Center for Information Technology (CIT), which provide enterprise services and infrastructure that seek to achieve service-level performance efficiencies, innovative improvements, optimal performance and risk reductions.We need key personnel hires with a deep knowledge networks expertise and complexity and tech roadmap experience to contribute to the trusted NIH and Leidos partnership. Looking for experience candidates that can maintain stable operations while delivering innovation, automation, leadership, network security and performance support/metrics, operations and continual improvement to advance the NIH scientific mission.This program consists of network operations, architecture and engineering support, security engineering, change management, special application deliveriesThe Application Delivery Team lead will have the responsibility to ensure the adequate security posture for numerous networking applications, web-based Intranet, operating systems and applications supporting infrastructure activities are in compliance with 508, FIPS-201, HSPD-12 and other HHS policies and standards. The responsibilities also include the validation of common application security configuration management, the assurance of accurate installations, and functioning software applications. delivery of Customer deliverables, creation of Customer briefs for status and regular meetings. This role will interface across the program ensuring support of the technical roadmap interfacing with Network Operations as well as the architecture engineering group.Primary Responsibilities:Provide on-site support to the health agency in MDSustain and optimize multiple F5 BIG-IP physical and virtual systems to support load balancing and high availability for critical mission and infrastructure applicationImplement and manage BIG-IP web application firewallsManage a small application delivery team including assigning tasks, priorities, and due datesProvide backfill for other security team activities as neededWork with other network engineers and architects to support major upgrade or new network initiativesMaintain and enhance monitoring solutions for applicationsSupport documentation changes to ATO packages as neededRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other related discipline or equivalent related experienceMust have one or more of the following certifications: F5 Certified Technology Specialist or F5 Certified Solution ExpertSeven (7) years of related load balancing experienceThree (3) years of experience configuring Cisco switches, routers, and firewallsManagement experience for small technical teamsTwo years of experience implementing load balancing solutions for cloud applicationsExperience working with enterprise VPN, PKI infrastructure, and DNS solutionsThorough knowledge of network security concepts and emerging cybersecurity capabilitiesThorough knowledge of various enterprise security point technologies and toolsDemonstrated experience supporting a large Federal agency preferably in HHS.Possess the knowledge of security best practices, security solutions, and methodologies for risk managementMust be able to obtain a public trust security clearancePreferred Qualifications:Active CISSP certification strongly desiredITIL 4, CCIE, CCNPOperational experience with environments employing cloud or software-defined networkingOperational experience using ScienceLogic SL1Demonstrated experience implementing successful continuous process improvement within an IT infrastructure environmentExperience using ServiceNow Project Portfolio ManagementOriginal Posting Date:2024-11-13While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.Pay Range:Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
