Job Summary:
Serves as an EHR support partner to physicians, providers and clinic staff for onboarding and ongoing education and/or updates for the EHR. Serves as a business partner to physicians, providers and clinical operations leadership and staff in identifying gaps and solutions to both small and large scale initiatives. Implements and supports applications and operational processes, both site-specific and enterprise wide, and ensures effective technical operational practices and participates in the delivery of efficient and quality patient care. Assists in the management of key operating metrics ensuring quality management for clinical and systems operations. Assesses and revises clinical workflow for increased operational consistency, identifies provider and support staff training needs and formalizes training programs to support clinic operations.

Conducts EHR education and updates for performance optimization of the staff through didactic and just-in-time educational opportunities, inclusive of care transformation, clinical performance, processes, and documentation. Will round to provide at-the-elbow support for providers/clinic staff to educate on how to efficiently use the EHR, educate on production changes, and/or to support clinical application go-lives.Coordinates analysis of documentation and workflows in departments, and designs/redesigns system components to support appropriate workflows in coordination with the system standards and leadership. Assists in analyzing existing methods and developing alternatives to increase operations and production efficiency. Performs needs assessment for complex workflows, customers, and/or clinical areas. Analyzes and documents reporting needs of end users. Identifies potential process- and/or department-specific risks and assists in strategies to mitigate or resolve them. Escalates to Provider EHR Educators and/or Physician Champions for clinical assistance as needed.Assists in development of best practice standards. Participates in initiatives to support change management within impacted departments across the enterprise. Develops and monitors measurements of process improvements, including those enabled by standardized workflows. Participates in measurement of performance as required. Identifies potential areas where policies/procedures require development or change.Develops and follows project work plans. May lead or assist with EHR related project meetings and works cooperatively with team members to coordinate assigned duties with the overall program and related projects. Researches, documents, and facilitates resolution of issues reported by end-users, and escalates to the system team for shared knowledge. Collect feedback from providers/clinic staff for system level consideration for future enhancements via the governance process. Vets issues and completes IT tickets and/or Clinical Informatics enhancement requests as needed.Presents training to a variety of audiences and settings. Ensures that system documentation is current and available to the customer and that customers are educated as to where to find it. Periodically assesses how end-users are progressing with their use of clinical applications and assist with optimization training to further develop user proficiency, efficiency, and satisfaction. Leads optimization activities to ensure staff effectively use the systems. Maintains EHR competencies.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
