The Desktop Administrator role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and supporting a Windows PC/Server infrastructure, effectively analyzing comprehensive processes to provideautomated solutions, and makingoptimal decisionsunder pressurein afast-paced environment. Install, maintain, and support a PC/Server infrastructure including hardware and software.Efficiently assist customers with system troubleshooting and provide effective resolutions.Respond quickly, professionally, confidently, and accurately toExecutive requests.Analyze existing IT operations and make recommendations for improvement and growth to continuously mature & automate the infrastructure.Installation, configuration, and support of Microsoft, internal (proprietary), and other third-party applications to support enterprise business requirementsEffective troubleshooting and appropriate procurement of specialized internal system components to resolve reported technical issuesAssist with high-volume hardware deployments and general IT asset management. This includes, but is not limited to PC workstations, servers, iPhone devices, wireless scanners, kiosk stations, and more throughout North America and China.Exhibit Versatile comprehension of IT Audio/Video equipment and support high-level meetings with different logistical requirementsAbility to physically lift up to 30lb. of equipment (on occasion)Actively participate with other teams to ensure proper control and process complianceSupport resolution of Incident Report (IR) and Service Request (SR) IT ticketsSkills / Competencies
Strong written & verbal communication skills with complimentary assertiveness to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter expertsMust be a quick multitasker and effectively rebalance shifting priorities as neededProficiency using Microsoft Windows and Office suite applicationsAbility to comprehend global business requirements and dynamically adapt as neededFamiliarity with cloud-based services including AWS, Azure, and Mobile Device ManagementDemonstrate a natural drive for results and positively influencing other peersConsistently use sound judgment & business acumen to produce logical solutionsQualifications
2 - 5 years of recent IT administration or similar work is desiredStrong Technical knowledge of Windows 10, O365 suite & services, and Apple iOSStrong Microsoft Active Directory & SCCM skills desiredFamiliarity with cloud-based services including AWS, Azure, and Mobile Device ManagementExcellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to effectively communicate and present technologicalinformation, details, findings and ideas to end-users, peers, and managementEffective analytical ability to evaluate IT issues and deliver optimal responses & solutionsExperience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment with individually-assigned responsibilities and deliverablesMust be a quick multitasker & be able to dynamically reprioritize your daily workload to accommodate changing requirements as requiredEducation
Associate's degree requiredBachelor's degree in Informational Technology, Business Administration, or related disciplines preferredCompTIA A+ & Network+ certifications, or related IT validation is desirablePaccar Benefits
