Summary:

This role requires the candidate to understand the fundamentals of condition monitoring tools, products, and technology. The Technology Solution Specialist will assist customers in spec'ing, commissioning, and installing condition monitoring equipment at customer sites. It is Key for the Technology Solution Specialist to maintain a strong understanding of the technology landscape when it comes to equipment condition monitoring. This position is expected to recommend solutions based on the best fit for application, industry, and environment. In this position you will need to know how to ask the right questions and gather information required to propose a solution with a detailed bill of material and effort required for hardware/software required for commissioning. The ideal candidate is not afraid to roll up the sleeves, take ownership, and see projects to completion, (even in ambiguous situations).

Responsibilities:

Foundational understanding of IoT / condition monitoring systems.

Spec'ing out condition monitoring systems..

Conduct data analysis.

Troubleshoot complex hardware and software systems.

Manage relatively large and complex projects.

See projects to completion, even in ambiguous situations.

Develop a strategy for selling, generate customer leads, and follow sales processes.

Conduct client need analysis at customer location.

Convey the value of new technology to customers.

Ensure a properly scoped solution to meet the customer need(s).

Provide technical evaluation and recommendation / scope proposal.

Provide quoting, closing the deal, project management for implementation/execution, commissioning, and installation if customer requires it.

Organize, validate, summarize, and present customer contract progress in weekly, monthly, or quarterly business reviews.

Engage with clients for assessing technology roadmap.

Propose a solution with a detailed bill of material and effort required for hardware/software required for commissioning.

Lead progress meetings, track project progress, and adjust according to business risk and priority.

Requirements:

Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent technical degree.

Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills.

Prior engineering / sales experience with industrial manufacturing segments, especially the following: Metals, Mining, Pulp & Paper and Cement.

Experience spec'ing out condition monitoring systems, having a good understanding of different system types, correct application, networking considerations and overall ability to ensure a properly scoped solution to meet the customer need(s).

Strong customer service skill set and attitude.

Self-starter, action oriented, and organized.

Comfortable operating in ambiguous situations.

Ability to conduct data analysis.

Passion for troubleshooting, especially complex hardware, and software systems.

Effective planning skills for improving reliability and other processes.

Ability to multitask and coordinate with cross functional teams.

Ability to lead a project start to finish.

Dynamic, engaged, self-starting, multifaceted individual.

Someone capable to manage relatively large and complex projects.

Someone interested in new technology and conveying its value to customers.

Not afraid to roll up the sleeves, take ownership, and see projects to completion, even in ambiguous situations.

Required travel: 50-80%.
