Summary Description:
The Web Manager is responsible for overseeing various aspects of the website including the content management system, the constituent database, and web server. This position ensures that each system is efficiently producing resources, data, and information as it corresponds to CLINIC's mission, strategic plan, and priorities. This includes internal staff training for use of the above technology, project management and staff supervision.
The Web Manager also supervises the Web Coordinator, both of which work in collaboration with the Operations and Communications section staff for a full website design and implementation. This position reports to the IT Manager on the Operations team.
Primary Responsibilities:
Website
MaintenanceEnsure that active modules that expand the functionality of Drupal, CLINIC's content management system, are up-to-date and secure.Assess and evaluate potential modules that expand the functionality of Drupal, to see if they can be of use to the organization's strategic plan.Remove modules as needed and ensure they do not cause a reduction of functionality in Drupal.Periodically check web server for updates and security releases, applying as necessary.Development and Implementation
Develop and configure the backend of Drupal to fall in line with current standards of the content management system. This includes, but not limited to, the following:

Implement best practices for accessibility and usability through knowledge of HTML, CSS, and other web standards.General Tasks
Plan and create new pages or functionality per input from section leaders and staff.Reconfigure and update pages where needed to ensure information is accurate.Manage other content focused items such as webforms, etc.Oversee media items to verify they are being used in accordance with protocols. Train permissioned staff on the intricacies of Drupal, including content creation, media usage, and small technical items.Provide individualized, advanced training on the deeper Drupal specific tasks such as advanced querying and block creation.Database
Maintenance
Update CiviCRM, as necessary, either internally or through support from outside vendor.Keep extensions up-to-date, either internally or through support from outside vendor.General Tasks
Establish CiviCRM reports function for various departments, including finance, advancement, capacity building, communications, and advocacy data needs.Work with capacity building to ensure renewal emails are sent out monthly to affiliates.Organize and evaluate affiliate data to ensure it's in order, utilizing field support coordinators when necessary.Oversee event, case, contribution, and membership management, providing ancillary support where needed.Cross check donor and membership data against payment processor, providing support in recording refunds and related tasks.Work with outside vendor on highly technical tasks such as customizations to underlying receipts, reports, and data.Training
Train staff, volunteers, interns, and contract staff the on the basics of CiviCRM, including querying, data input, and related tasks.Provide guidance on how to handle advanced items such as groups, tags, reports.Provide specialized training for CiviCRM topics such as events, memberships, and payments.Project Management
Engage in annual and quarterly planning of short, medium, and long-term goals.Work with departments to plan out upcoming projects and best implementation of them including Request for Proposal (RFP) development and execution following CLINIC processes.Assess and evaluate new tools and trends that can help establish success for website and database.Supervision
Provide necessary direction, supervision, and support to ensure clarity in roles, responsibilities, and expectations.Conduct performance appraisals and offer regular feedback and guidance.Ensure that team has updated position descriptions, current work plans, and are familiar and comply with CLINIC's Employee Handbook.Assess staff resource and developmental needs, while facilitating access to developmental resources.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
