About the Role:
We are hiring a Sr. Tax Analyst - Provision
This is a flexible hybrid role; the person must be within commutable distance to our Plano office (3 days at least in the office weekly)
The tax team is a vital part of Gen's broader CFO organization comprised of a diverse and talented group of professionals, managing tax provision, compliance, planning and controversy. We collaborate cross-functionally with many departments including Legal, FP&A, Controllership and the Gen executive team. We are adaptive, committed to working hard and having fun while maintaining a culture of work-life balance.
Responsibilities:
Prepare key aspects of ASC 740 global income tax provision calculations for quarterly and annual SEC filings including but not limited to GAAP & Non-GAAP effective tax rate, ASC 718 calculations, tax reserves related to uncertain tax positions (ASC 740-10 & FAS 5), valuation allowance, forecast of the AETR, cash tax rate, accounts reconciliation, quarterly analytics, journal entries, footnote disclosures, etc.Research complex tax issues and draft tax memorandum for documentationMonitor tax legislation and accounting standard updates and perform relevant tax impact analysisMaintain an appropriate level of internal control and documentation on a quarterly basis to maintain SOX complianceSupport the tax department, while gaining valuable experience, in tax compliance, tax audits, international taxation, transfer pricing, etc.Identify opportunities for process improvement; leverage automation to drive efficiency, both independently and through collaboration with other tax and finance teamsCross collaboration within the organization with respect to tax needsQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA a plus3+ years of combined corporate tax experience in Big 4 public accounting and/or industryStrong knowledge of ASC 740/FIN 48 preferredBonus Skills and Attributes:
