Healthcare Benefits & Claims Specialist

Healthcare Benefits & Claims Specialist Responsibilities: Assist clients' employees directly with their benefits claims submissions and issues Respond to benefits inquiries from clients' managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries Facilitate clients' new-hire onboarding calls Enroll clients' employees with carriers and processes life status changes Process and administer leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork including medical, personal, disability and FMLA Assist with the open enrollment process Perform quality checks of benefits-related data Provide necessary reports as requested
Healthcare Benefits & Claims Specialist Requirements:
5+ years of experience working in group benefits Clear understanding and working knowledge of claims processing, denials and appeals processes including ICD-10 and CPT codes Strong problem-solving and analytical skills that demonstrate resourcefulness and attention to detail Concise and articulate communication skills as this position requires a high volume of calls and written interaction with clients, insurance carriers and doctors' offices Organization, speed and accuracy are crucial for this role Ability to work independently as well as in a cross-functional team environment by collaborating with others and sharing tools, skills and knowledge License required
