Jasper is a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing briquilimab, a monoclonal antibody targeting c-Kit (CD117) as a therapeutic for chronic mast and stem cell diseases such as chronic urticaria and lower to intermediate risk myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) and as a conditioning agent for stem cell transplants for rare diseases such as sickle cell disease (SCD), Fanconi anemia (FA) and severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID). To date, briquilimab has a demonstrated efficacy and safety profile in over 145 dosed subjects and healthy volunteers, with clinical outcomes as a conditioning agent in SCID, acute myeloid leukemia (AML), MDS, FA, and SCD.
The Senior Director of Supply Chain will lead the strategic planning and execution of the company's supply chain functions, including clinical supply management, procurement, demand forecasting, logistics and trade compliance, and vendor management. The role is responsible for ensuring the efficient, compliant, and timely supply of drug products and materials across the clinical development pipeline, and for building scalable processes as the company advances toward later-stage trials and commercialization.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Strategy & Leadership:Develop and execute an integrated supply chain strategy to support clinical development, manufacturing, and commercialization plans.Build and lead a high-performing supply chain team, ensuring alignment with company objectives and industry best practices.Establish relationships with key internal stakeholders (e.g., Clinical, CMC, Regulatory, Accounting and Quality) to ensure effective cross-functional collaboration.Clinical Supply Management:Establish the systems and process necessary to enable the continuous supply of dug products to multiple global clinical studies.Oversee the planning, procurement, labeling, packaging and global distribution of clinical trial materials, including investigational drug products and ancillary supplies.Partner with colleagues from Quality and Regulatory to ensure that investigational product is labeled in a compliant manner.Manage relationships with contract manufacturers (CMOs), contract research organizations (CROs), and other external partners.Ensure all supply chain operations meet Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards and global regulatory requirements.Vendor and Logistics Management:Select, qualify, and manage vendors to ensure cost-effective and timely supply chain operations.Lead logistics and distribution processes, ensuring the safe and compliant handling of clinical materials across a global network of distribution depots and clinical sites.Establish a Global Trade Compliance function, enabling the temperature controlled and compliant movement of Jasper's products across international borders through management of import/export permits and VAT registrations.Negotiate supply agreements and contracts with key suppliers and service providers.Demand Planning and Inventory Management:Establish an S&OP process to align demand forecasts based on clinical development needs with manufacturing and distribution strategy ensuring adequate supply levels to meet study projections and timelines.Partnering with colleagues in Quality and Accounting, maintain a GMP and SOX compliant inventory management system.Optimize inventory management processes to balance cost, risk, and supply availability.Compliance and Risk Management:Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements (FDA, EMA, etc.) for the supply chain, clinical materials including labels and associated processes.Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.Budget and Cost Management:Manage the supply chain budget, including cost forecasting, procurement, and vendor management.Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or timelines.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.10+ years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries.Strong experience in clinical supply chain management, including management of multiple global double blinded, placebo controlled clinical trials simultaneously.
