ResponsibilitiesIdentify opportunities where Generative AI can generate business insights or improve business processesWork with product designers, application developers, infrastructure engineers, and other data scientists to integrate LLMs and Generative AI with web-based applicationsResearch algorithms in machine learning to identify viable approaches to meet business requirementsDevelop and facilitate trainings for government leaders and practitioners on the latest advances in machine learning and LLMsDesign solutions that connect to data sources and deploy through services, such as service functions in web applications or application programming interfaces (APIs)Become familiar with DevSecOps principles to continuously deliver high-quality softwareWork with Docker to develop and deploy containerized versions of modelsParticipate in design and code reviews, and collaborate with a strong, passionate engineering teamProvide input to UX/UI designers and front-end application developers on how to effectively deliver model outcomes to usersInterface with customer stakeholders to provide technical explanations and supportMinimum
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (Graduate student highly preferred) in engineering, mathematics, computer science, or related technical discipline required.Comfortable working with agile teams, developing tools and functionality in short development sprintsComfortable using CI/CD processes and GitAbility to think critically to propose tractable solutions to complex problemsEffective written and verbal communication skillsAbility to communicate complex concepts to both technical and business-focused audiencesMinimum 2-years' experience with Python developmentFamiliarity with the underlying mathematics of machine learningKnowledge of data structures and data management principles, methods, and toolsClearance: Top Secret with Full Scope PolyPreferred
Graduate degree in engineering, mathematics, computer science, or related technical disciplineExperience using industry guidelines and best practices for developing software including GitLab, Docker, and automated deployments.Ability to collaborate with a team that develops applications using web development frameworks, such as Angular (1.x/2+), React, and Ember, and server frameworks, such as Node.js and Express.jsAbility to consume or interface with cloud computing and storage services, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google CloudFamiliarity or desire to become familiar with containerization technologies, such as Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS), and Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS)Experience building tools using Large Language Models, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, Embedding Models, and Prompt EngineeringKnowledge of the Army software development process and its technologies
