Bethel Schools is seeking certificated Speech Language Pathologist applicants for substitute opportunities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must hold a valid Washington State ESA certificate as Speech Language PathologistSuccessful substitute experience preferred.Ability to commit to and be flexible within the full long-term substitute assignment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Follows all plans and other instructions provided by the Speech Language Pathologist and/or school.Assumes responsibility for duties assigned to the regular Speech Language Pathologist.Experience and training in diagnosis and therapeutic intervention of articulation, expressive and receptive language, fluency, and voice with students age 3 - 21.Working knowledge of strategies and accommodations to support students in inclusion settings.Ability to collaborate positively with general education and special education staff, parents and administrators.Experience with a variety of diagnostic instruments appropriate for students.Skill and experience working with students who use augmentative and adaptive communication strategies and devices.Experience in writing Individual Education Programs (IEP), including working knowledge of social and behavioral language goals, specific task analysis skills, and ability to write measurable annual goals and objectives.Ability to participate as an effective member of the IEP team.Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel between buildings.REPORTING RELATIONSHIPSReports to assigned program administrator; receives lead guidance from school nurse.
