This position leads the training and coaching of the marketing department. This person is responsible for teaching team members how to leverage multiple marketing channels to build effective strategies that achieve clients’ business goals. This person is responsible for managing the marketing strategy and execution for multiple accounts.Success in this role looks like:Building effective marketing plans that perform above industry benchmarksProviding meaningful coaching and training to team members and the agency about marketing trends, performance optimization opportunities, and channel/platform updatesManaging team workload and capacity to maintain balance for team members and achieve client deadlinesReports to:

Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. or equivalent.Flexible/hybrid office environment.Essential Job Functions:Creates marketing plans that incorporate multiple marketing channels (digital advertising, traditional advertising, organic content, email marketing, websites, etc.) to achieve client’s marketing goalsCoaches the marketing team by providing regular communication, offering consistent support, setting clear expectations, giving actionable feedback, being open to feedback, and advocating for direct reports’ continued growthProvides quality assurance for marketing team members through regular review of planning and execution workDevelops and contributes to marketing strategies and implementation plans for key clientsEducates the agency about marketing and website best practices by hosting trainings, sharing valuable resources, creating best practice templates, etc.Maintains the agency’s Google Partner status and manages the agency’s relationships with other platform partners (Meta, LinkedIn, Pinterest, etc.) for internal and client needsLearns about industry and platform trends and advises the agency and our clients about how to evolve and grow with themSupports team members in providing data and analytics to clients and the agency and advocates for data-back strategic decision making as a general practiceManages the day-to-day functioning of the marketing team, which includes holding regular one-on-ones, building development/growth plans, hiring new staff, initiating and facilitating disciplinary action, etc.Refines agency processes and practices on an ongoing basis to address team and client feedback; directly manages marketing processes and associated documents, trainings, templates, etc.Supports the VP of Marketing in various agency, client, and team assignments and overall planningServes on the Directors team, assists with overall agency and team growth, identifies new opportunities, and develops management skillsWorks with President and VP of Marketing to grow the agency’s book of business, identify prospective new clients, and attend prospect meetings and presentations as neededResearches audience behaviors, keywords, search ranking, social media sentiment, and website and digital platform content, functionality, and user experience as needed for use in proposals and marketing plansSkills and Experience:5- to 8-years’ marketing experience required, agency experience preferredMinimum 2 years of experience leading a teamExtra consideration given to candidates with experience in media buying, especially a blend of digital and traditional mediaStrong research, data analysis, and communication skillsExcellent presentation skillsAbility to prioritize multiple projectsProficiency with budget and time managementProficient with Google Ads, Analytics, and advanced Google search tacticsExperience with Moz, SEMrush, SharedCount, Screaming Frog, and other web-based toolsExperience with organic and paid campaigns and analytics for social media platforms including (but not limited to) Meta, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTubeProficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite of productsWork Environment:Well Done is a Mac centered agency. Flexible work environment blending on-site and remote work leveraging technology, standard office equipment and communication tools and activities to meet the fast-paced and fluid demands of agency operations.Physical Demands:This position requires extensive time on a computer independently running project management software, utilizing various communication tools, and interacting in a dynamic agency environment.
