About The Role
Job Title: Director, Supply Chain & Supplier Partnerships
Location: Palo Alto, CA or Guilford, CT
As the Director, Supply Chain, you will work on developing our supply chain strategy, managing the alliance with our contract manufacturing partner, and optimizing our existing supply chain for scale and cost. Collaborating closely with engineers, program managers, regulatory, quality, finance and commercial teams, you will play a pivotal role in advancing Hyperfine's mission to revolutionize patient care globally through transformational, accessible, clinically relevant diagnostic imaging and data solutions.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and deploy the overall supply chain strategy for Swoop, a complex cutting edge medical device, addressing capacity, cost, quality, and scalability.* Ensure the supply chain strategy is aligned to the company strategy and objectives, ensuring compliance and attention to Hyperfine quality standards.* Manage and influence contract manufacturer to deliver units to achieve business objectives and forecast with a focus on quality, cost, and timeline.* Continuously assess potential CM partners to ensure Hyperfine success.* Negotiate supplier agreements to align with Hyperfine business objectives.* Lead strategic and operational planning workstream.* Drive cost reduction efforts throughout the supply chain.* Manage capacity and supply to plan and schedule, including systems and field replaceable inventory.* Manage global logistics function and team to ensure effective movement, distribution and delivery of systems to meet business objectives.
Knowledge & Skills:
* Diverse supply chain background with demonstrated End-2-End business acumen, with experience in people management, managing engineering and manufacturing teams, and launching new products.* Thorough understanding of medical device product lifecycle.* Strength in communication.* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal individuals/groups, suppliers, customers, and the public when necessary.* Extraordinary analytical skill with an emphasis on data, including focus on data-driven decisions.* Ability to hire, train and evaluate personnel ensuring a competent work force to meet objectives in a cost-effective manner. This will include goal setting and measurement of performance.* Proven negotiation, communication and influencing skills.* Track record of leading and motivating teams.* Ability to solve problems and make decisions, as well as to think strategically.* Exceptional communication, presentation, and information synthesis skills, both written and oral.* Ability to delegate, escalate, tasks and decisions.* Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams.
Education/Experience Required:
* Bachelors in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field required.* MBA in Operations Management and/or Engineering preferred.* 8+ years of experience with a track record of success leading complex medical device supply chain and operations.* Deep experience managing supply chain for complex medical device with 1000+ part BOM.* Experience in managing tiered suppliers.
Physical Demands:
* This is an onsite role in Hyperfine's Palo Alto, CA or Guilford, CT facility.* Ability to travel to suppliers and contract manufacturers, including international travel up to 40% of the time.* Ability to work under pressure, manage long hours and tight deadlines.* Proficiency in using office equipment and ability to work remotely as needed.
