Value Stream Manager
Position Profile:
Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Value Stream Manager is a seasoned leader with a comprehensive understanding of LEAN manufacturing processes. This position plays a crucial role in developing, implementing, and maintaining performance. The Value Stream Manager will work closely with operational leaders to drive strategic initiatives and foster a workplace culture aligned with RiteScreen's core values of Safety, Teamwork, Accountability, Integrity, Customer Focus and Continuous Improvement.
Essential Functions:
The Value Stream Manager drives safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives within the assigned value stream, promoting Lean transformation through education, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:Foster a continuous improvement culture.Empower and involve employees in operational excellence.Analyze processes to eliminate waste and enhance efficiency.Provide training and coaching to meet production goals.Facilitate problem-solving within the value stream.Review and improve productivity and performance metrics.Required Skills:
Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.Analytical and data-driven mindset.Experience in Lean manufacturing and quality improvement.Ability to develop a collaborative team environment.Daily Activities:
Lead team meetings and manage production plans.Conduct training and ensure adherence to safety and quality checks.Drive continuous improvement initiatives and delegate responsibilities.Manages Inventory to prevent outagesPlans and schedules with ERP system to manage daily operationsCommunication & Safety:
Promote effective communication and safety practices among team members.Conduct safety training and audits.
