Looking for an internship that will provide hands-on experience in the field of accounting and audit? Look no further than our 10 - 16 week Assurance & Advisory Services internship position! As an intern for the Assurance & Advisory department, you will support your clients' efforts by providing a broad array of services. The program includes an internal "buddy" program, training, and social activities that allow you to become familiar with the Berkowitz Pollack Brant team and our culture.
Major Responsibilities:Document the execution of specific audit procedures as defined by the engagement objectives, audit client's engagement history, and planned audit approachDemonstrate professionalism and competence in the audit client's environmentMaintain a strong client focus, be responsive to client requests, and develop/maintain productive working relationships with client personnelStay informed of current business/economic developments relevant to the client's businessUse technology to continually learn, share knowledge with assurance team members, and enhance service deliveryProvide a variety of professional services including financial statement audits, reviews, compilations, agreed upon procedures, and advisory engagementsReview, document and perform functional testing of internal controlsApply understanding of broad business and technical (US GAAS & GAAP) knowledgeAssist in identifying process issues and developing recommended solutionsQualifications:
Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's Degree program in AccountingA minimum 3.0 GPAAbility to work up to 40 hours (preferred)
