The Role
As a Program Manager within the PMO at Veev, you will support the PMO Lead by ensuring that strategic initiatives are effectively managed, monitored, and reported on to align with the organization's objectives. Your role will focus on coordinating across teams, maintaining program visibility, and ensuring each initiative progresses on time, within scope, and budget. You will act as a central point for gathering updates, identifying risks, and presenting status reports to the PMO Lead and stakeholders. Success in this role requires strong organizational and communication skills, along with the ability to drive consistency across initiatives while supporting strategic alignment.
Responsibilities
Oversee strategic initiatives, ensure milestones are met, and report status to the PMO Lead and stakeholders.Track metrics and performance indicators, addressing deviations with relevant teams and maintaining program dashboards for transparency.Facilitate cross-functional coordination with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and quality teams to manage updates and dependencies.Act as a communication bridge between program teams and PMO leadership, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.Monitor resource needs, recommend adjustments, and track budget expenditures, highlighting concerns to support financial planning.Identify early-stage risks, collaborate with teams on mitigation strategies, and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.Prepare and present concise updates and reports for stakeholders, highlighting achievements, concerns, and upcoming milestones.Participate in meetings with stakeholders to discuss status, resource requirements, and overall progress.Promote and implement continuous improvement efforts, enhancing coordination and execution across initiatives.Ensure alignment of each initiative with organizational objectives and report on progress and alignment gaps to the PMO Lead.Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is required; an advanced degree or PMP is a plus. Minimum 5+ years of program management in manufacturing, leading cross-functional teams and complex projects.Proven success in managing complex programs from start to finish, with experience in planning, risk mitigation, cost tracking, and resource allocation. Hands-on experience with product development, including prototyping, testing, and NPI.Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows, operations, and supply chain management, focusing on efficiency and cost-effective delivery. Knowledge of quality control for compliance.Skilled at coordinating with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.Proficient in tracking KPIs, identifying issues, and implementing corrective actions. Anticipates and mitigates project risks.Experienced in MS Project, Tableau, Jira, or Monday.com.Strong organizational and communication skills for delivering concise updates, dashboards, and reports to stakeholders and leadership.Compensation
Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on skills, education, experience, and location is $140,000 - $170,000 annually for Hayward, CA and surrounding areas.
