Your Role:
The Tax team in Westwood is hiring a Tax Supervisor to join our dynamic group of tax professionals. This selected candidate is influential in the process of preparing and reviewing tax returns and assisting clients with various tax matters. The Tax Supervisor gathers and reviews client tax documents to prepare necessary individual, partnership, estate, corporate, and/or trust tax returns. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of common tax rules, tax compliance, and tax regulations. This person is also knowledgeable in tax accounting principles. You are a confident and professional communicator, with exceptional time management and organizational skills. The selected candidate will be expected to perform the following duties:
What will you do?
Review business and individual income tax returns.Review tax projections and quarterly estimates using BNA .Review client meeting packages.Review commission reconciliations.Review client loan application and forensic materials.Ensure all tax planning related payments are made on time.Review and correct financial statements.Correspond with government agencies relating to client tax notifications received.Identify and research tax issues applicable to client transactions.Work closely with Account Executives and Assistant Account Executives to ensure complete and accurate books.Communicate with Partners and Business Mangers on client related matters.Supervise, mentor and manage accounting/tax staff, be onsite to answer questions, train and review performance.Oversee completion of workflow.Attend Continuing Professional Education (CPE) and in-house tax workshops.Work extended hours as needed.Other related duties as assigned.What Do you Need to Succeed:

Standing, walking, crouching, and regular lifting up to 15 pounds.Frequent use of hands and reaching with hands and arms.Regularly talking, hearing, seeing, and sitting.Moderate to loud noise level.Risk of electrical shock.Salary Range: The salary range for this role is $115,000 - $160,000 and represents the firm's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, and location.
