Summary

The Executive Recruiter will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization. The recruiter will meet with hiring managers to determine the ideal candidate's soft skills and technical requirements and then utilize passive and active strategies to source top candidates.

The successful candidate will love recruiting and have a genuine interest in the company and the competitive market. This role will focus on senior-level and hard-to-fill positions and report to the Director of HR and Talent Acquisition.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process.

2.Collaborates with hiring managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria, getting a clear view of strategic and financial objectives, and hiring needs.

3.Design a targeted research strategy to source passive applicants. Reliance on submitted applications to fill these positions will not be sufficient as we require a proactive recruiting approach.

4.Create a recruiting marketing plan and work with the marketing team to leverage social media platforms to promote company culture and attract top talent

5.Has a thorough understanding of what the company does, who our competitors are, and what each department's role is

6.Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the organization's needs.

7.Assists with job posting and advertisement processes.

8.Screens applications and selects qualified candidates. Assesses candidates to ensure qualification match, cultural fit, and compatibility. Participates in first-round interviews to utilize behavioral interview techniques and market the company and position to the candidate.

9.Schedules interviews; oversees the preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.

10.Know your area of expertise (specialized industry or job function)

11.Research and develop recruiting leads

12.Assists with facilitating background checks and in-basket exercises, if applicable. Provides insight into the relevancy and effectiveness of in-basket exercises.

13.Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.

14.Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.

15.Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.

16.Ability to travel to job fairs, networking events, etc.

17.Performs other duties as assigned.

18.Assists with other job postings/roles as needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• A genuine excitement for recruiting, strategy, and research.

• Proven working experience in recruiting

• Deep understanding of recruitment processes

• Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruiting software, and candidate databases

• Strong knowledge of candidate selection methods

• Previous experience with candidate sourcing tools and methods

• Excellent knowledge of the area of expertise (market status, trends, best practices)

• Client focus along with relationship-building skills

• Business acumen and market insight

• Effective negotiation, influencing, and communication skills

• Integrity and confidentiality

• Knowledge of personal computer and Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) at an intermediate or higher level.

• Ability to quickly learn and retain systems, processes, and procedures.

• Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.

• Ability and experience in mining online databases.

• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and the management both in writing and orally.

• Ability to prioritize work efficiently and accurately with little to no supervision.

• Ability to plan, coordinate, and complete projects.

• Ability to supervise small groups of people.

• Must have a high degree of integrity and commitment to treat people reasonably and with respect; especially when dealing with sensitive or confidential situations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Graduation from high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma and at least four years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process are highly preferred.

• Preferred: bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university and payroll experience.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS:

• Preferred: SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred. SHRMs Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential a plus.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL SKILLS:

• Acceptable eyesight (with or without correction).

• Acceptable hearing (with or without hearing aid).

• Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.

• Required to work on a computer and use phone systems for several hours at a time

• Ability to travel as needed

• Works inside an office and remote environment.
