FMP will be designing, implementing, and deploying an end-to-end solution for one of our large clients by combining and maximizing the value of their existing stack of tools including ServiceNow, Workday, Microsoft SQL Server, Tableau, Python, and R.

To do this work FMP Consulting is currently seeking a Data Scientist. The work will include:Identifying and advancing the infrastructure needs for storing, transferring, and analyzing large datasets (e.g. cloud solution)Working with the staffing program office (and other stakeholders) to identify research questionsConstructing and executing research plans and experiments utilizing advanced methods and tools (e.g. Python, R)Conducting exploratory data analysis to identify research questions and opportunities for process efficienciesCommunicating research results to internal and external stakeholders using appropriate data visualization, written, and oral communicationCollaborating with multiple scrum teams to integrate models into existing applicationsQualifications

Minimum

four to eight

years of working experience in overseeing the data collection, data storage, and interpretation of data. It is expected that they have a solid grasp of data science techniques with a solid understanding of Python and associated tools.Master degree in any physical and social science, mathematics and engineering with an academic foundation in research methods, statistics, and data scienceSignificant experience engaged in machine learning and natural language processing projectsExperience with PythonExperience with SQL Server or other database technologies (both on premises and cloud)Experience working in an Agile environment - working as a part of teams to iteratively develop and deliver data productsData visualization experience using Tableau or Power BIAbility to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences (orally and in written form)Ability to effectively collaborate across organizational barriers to accomplish high priority and high visibility goalsPay Range: $110,000 - 130,000 commensurate with experience
