Job Description
Title : Precision AssemblerLocation : Portage, IN
Shift : 1st ( 7AM- 3:30PM)
Hire Type : ContractPay : $25/hr
Job Duties:Complete assemblies according to drawings, instructions, and work orders; perform testing as needed.Use inspection equipment (e.g., micrometers, vernier, CMM) to ensure parts/assemblies meet specifications.Clean parts/components prior to assembly and ensure proper assembly following procedures.Operate precision measuring tools and hand tools (e.g., hydraulic torque wrench, fire torch).Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues.Participate in continuous improvement (CIP) activities and comply with company policies.Read and interpret technical documents (e.g., blueprints, safety rules, manuals).Qualifications :
High school diploma/GED with 3-5 years relevant experience; vocational training/certification is a plus.Knowledge of automation control and electrical components.Experience as a mechanic for rotating machines or general mechanical work.Strong mechanical experience required.Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
