Phlebotomist to join their practice. This is a
full time
opportunity.
Responsibilities:
(List does not include all duties assigned)Prepares equipment to efficiently collect blood specimens. Communicates appropriately with supervisor about concerns and needs pertaining to equipment.Performs venipuncture, arterial and capillary punctures on patients as appropriate.Identifies and labels specimens in an accurate and timely manner.Conducts designated laboratory testing.Assists in the care of the donor prior to, during, and after the donation.Maintains stocked, neat, and clean examination rooms and common work areas on a daily basis.Adheres to established policies and procedures including OSHA guidelines and the Corporate Compliance Program.Performs duties assigned in a professional manner following established policies and procedures while exhibiting a courteous and cooperative manner to co-workers, management, and public.Performs related duties assigned by supervisor, Site Manager, physician or Administrative staff.Maintains strictest confidentiality.Actively participates in site-level Quality Improvement Activities. Each employee will contribute to the continual evaluation site performance as well as the implementation and measurement of improvement activities that increase the quality of care provided to patients.
Education:
High School Diploma required, prefer additional vocational or college credits.
Experience:
At least six months experience in a similar clinical setting preferred.
