ECU Health Medical Center, one of four academic medical centers in North Carolina, is the 974-bed flagship hospital for ECU Health and serves as the primary teaching hospital for The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. ECU Health Medical Center has achieved Magnet designation twice and provides acute and intermediate care, rehabilitation and outpatient health services to a 29-county region that is home to more than 1.4 million people.

Position Summary

The Manager, Emergency Services practices in the framework of the mission, vision, and values of ECU Health and maintains 24-hour accountability for department operations.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher in nursing required. Master's degree in nursing preferred.

NC RN licensure with 3 years or greater experience.

Must have excellent leadership, clinical, written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills.

Must be knowledgeable of current best practice guidelines for care of the pediatric patient.

Preferred Requirements

Prior experience with education of adult learners and inpatient operational needs preferred.

Prior work history with experience in field of emergency nursing preferred.
