Description
The Fundraising and Communications Specialist will play a key role in promoting Remedy's mission and expanding our outreach through strategic fundraising initiatives, creative marketing campaigns, and community engagement efforts. This role requires a dynamic individual who can build relationships, tell compelling stories, and maximize engagement to increase both financial support and brand awareness.FundraisingExecute fundraising strategies to support Remedy's mission and financial goals, including donor cultivation and online giving campaigns.Identify and engage with new donor segments, crafting tailored communication strategies to attract a diverse range of supporters.Manage donor database (Kindful), ensuring accurate records, acknowledgments, and timely follow-ups to strengthen donor relationships.Work with Atlanta Humane staff to prepare grant applications and reports, partnering with the finance and programs teams to communicate Remedy's impact and program goals effectively.Marketing and CommunicationsManage Remedy's marketing campaigns across digital channels to increase brand visibility and attract new clients.Work alongside and digital advertising agency to manage Remedy's digital advertisements.Create and execute a social media strategy to build an engaged online community, crafting compelling stories and educational content about pet care, community impact, and organizational goals.Collaborate with internal teams to develop marketing materials, including newsletters, blogs, press releases, and impact stories.Maintain and update Remedy's website to ensure accurate information, engaging content, and an intuitive user experience for both clients and supporters.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field; or equivalent experience.2+ years of experience in fundraising, marketing, or nonprofit communications, preferably within animal welfare or community services.Strong understanding of fundraising principles, marketing strategies, and digital engagement techniques.Proficiency in donor management systems and digital marketing toolsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling stories that resonate with diverse audiences.Proven track record in meeting fundraising targets and managing successful marketing campaigns.Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
