Job Description
JOB SCOPE:The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for corporate level journal entries for monthly and annual close. Assist in the roll of financial statements, and creation of audit work papers. Preparation and review of monthly account reconciliations.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Financial Reporting Manager for TransformCo oversees corporate-level journal entries for monthly and annual financial closes, prepares and reviews account reconciliations, and provides detailed financial analyses to support senior management's decision-making. This role includes coordinating audit support, enhancing processes within Corporate Accounting, and supporting special projects to drive operational excellence. Strong communication skills and a solid grasp of GAAP are essential for effective collaboration with both internal teams and external auditors.
Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides guidance to Wipro teams in conducting account reconciliations, using professional judgment to resolve discrepancies and enhance reconciliation processesDevelops and manages various audit templates and independently gathers necessary audit documentation, ensuring accurate and timely support for audit requirementsTakes ownership of audit support coordination, proactively addressing auditor inquiries and delivering precise documentation to support compliance and accountabilityPrepares and reviews complex journal entries for Corporate Accounting's month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational standards and GAAPConducts comprehensive financial analyses for P&L and Balance Sheet, including variance and trend analysis, to proactively identify insights and provide senior management with strategic recommendationsDrives operational excellence by critically assessing and enhancing business financial processes, implementing improvements to strengthen controls, scalability, and overall process efficiencyEffectively communicates complex financial results and insights to the Corporate Accounting team and key organizational stakeholders, providing expert-level explanations and recommendations as neededProvides strategic support for special projects and business initiatives, employing analytical skills and financial expertise to advance project goals and optimize outcomesLeads the preparation and rollout of annual financial reporting documents, collaborating with the Director of Financial Reporting to identify improvements in reporting accuracy and efficiencyJOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors Degree5-10 years of related experience18 years of age or olderREQUIRED SKILLS:
Minimum 6 years of progressive Accounting and Reporting in large or medium sized public and private companies across diverse sectors (services, retail, technology, manufacturing, etc.)Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldStrong knowledge of GAAPExcellent communication skills both written and oral with all levels and functions within the organizationTrack record of partnering effectively with different levels in the organization (Operations, Divisional Finance, Corporate FP&A)Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft WordAnalytical mindset and a track record of making data-driven decisionsHigh degree of integrity and commitment to ethical financial practices
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Public accounting experience / CPA a plusExperience with NetSuite ERP is a definite advantage
