VES is seeking General Medicine NPs to perform Compensation & Pension exams + Separation Health Assessments!

Veterans Evaluation Services (VES), a Maximus company, is a government contractor helping our nation's Veterans.Need is on a PRN basis, ongoingWilling to accept these specialties:
family medicineinternal medicineorthopedic surgeryanyone with a background in general medicine, or experience with compensation and pension.Two (2) options for coverage:
Travel and perform exams at VES leased facilitySchedule Veterans within your own practiceOption to work ½ days(4-hours) and/or full days(8-hours)One-Time non-treatment C&P exams + separation health assessmentsExams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment: range of motion testing, muscle strength testing.No prescribing, no treatmentQuick credentialing & onboardingDMA certification available (can get CME credits) - will need to obtain once privileged if not already certified- Client does not reimburse for DMA certifications or the portal training before startingUse of Goniometer requiredFamiliar with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio requiredProficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.Own personal laptop (NO MACs)Training shall be provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)Reporting/DBQs must be submitted within 48 hours upon exam completion - no narrative report. End product is completion of standardized form(s).Evaluations to be completed in VES's provider portalRecord review is required in most casesFollow up administrative work will be required on a regular basis (addendums, medical opinions, and reading diagnostics)
RATE STRUCTURE FOR PRESENTATIONS:
***Hourly, Overtime, Holiday rates are NOT applicable with VES. All Gen Med providers must follow the rate structure below.Half-day Rate - BR flat rate for 4 hour shifts or less (includes times to complete exams, submit report, including any addendums, no OT)Daily Rate - BR200 flat rate for 5 hour shifts or longer (includes times to complete exams, submit report, including any addendums, no OT)Bonus - one time bonus of BR for completing all required training and performing first examslocal candidates only, travel included in ratesClient does not reimburse for DMA certifications or the portal training before starting.
Process once credentialing is kicked off:• VES will email the PROVIDER two forms to complete- *PLEASE NOTE THAT THE PROVIDER HAS 48 HOURS TO COMPLETE OR THEY WILL BE REDIRECTED*
the Docusign VES Application- instructions will be sent to the agency to relay to the provider.Electronic Signature Form.AHSA will email your agency requesting DOB, SSN, Agency Credentialing contacts and COI.After credentialing is confirmed as complete, the provider will need to complete their DMA training.VES now has a new process to replace the current 90-120 minute PEP Session and the portal videos. Reach360 is the new system VES is using to distribute provider training materials. Here is the outline of how provider training will work going forward:• Provider completes VA required DMA certifications (10+ hours)• Provider is assigned VES New Provider Orientation Materials (60-90 min) in Reach 360• When both VA DMA Certifications and VES Orientation materials are complete, provider is activated.• Schedulers assign first cases and request a PEP session• Based on cases assigned, VES-created DBQ and Medical Opinion trainings are assigned in Reach360 (varies, but 1-2 hours on average)• PEP session (which is now just a quick check in) happens before first exams to verify the provider has reviewed DBQ training content and feels prepared for first day of exams• First exams are seen• Optional Up Front QA session is offered to the provider for live review of first exam reports
Once established, if the provider is willing and there is a need, VES may ask for them to travel to other areas to assist with cases. In these cases, travel expenses will be reimbursed per VES guidelines.*Please Note: Per the exhibit terms 4.5- The client may terminate an assignment within 48 hours notice in writing with or without cause.
