Description
We are located in Ardsley, N.Y.
The annual range is $85,000.00 - $105,000.00, Commensurate with experience.
1. Assists with developing, implementing, and monitoring all speech therapy policies, protocols, and programs to include treatment and attendance records in accordance with accepted New York State standards and SAIL at Ferncliff Manor policy.
2. Conducts annual assessments on assigned students and creates speech/language/communication goals based on the assessments.
3. Participates in interdisciplinary programs in the classroom, recreation, and residential program components.
4. Provides therapeutic intervention to assigned students.
5. Consults to all departments when requested and participates in staff development programs. Provides feeding and speech/communication in-services as requested.
6. Assess feeding difficulties when requested, set up specialized feeding programs, and train staff to implement feeding programs. Monitors and modifies feeding programs as needed.
7. Evaluate students and set up alternate communication systems or methods of communication for nonverbal children.
8. Attends all departmental meetings and other meetings as requested.
9. Attends all planning conferences and team meetings of students on their caseload.
10. Identify individualized communication devices to facilitate communication in school and the residence.
11. Consult with teachers, other staff, and parents regarding facilitating communication skills for their students/children.
12. Keeps current with new developments in Speech Pathology, including assessments, treatment techniques, and communication devices.
