Part Time Speech and Language Pathologist: Richmond Heights City Schools 2024-2025

The Educational Service Center of Northeast Ohio is seeking interested and qualified candidates for a

part time

Speech and Language Pathologist position assigned to Warrensville Heights City Schools for the 2024-2025 school year.

Description:

Develop and implement a direct plan of intervention for students in need of special instruction in speech and language. Provide diagnostic and evaluation services for students with special speech and language needs. Conduct on-site with district/building personnel in the design of appropriate evaluation techniques and instructional programs for these students including the use of technology. Provide consultation/technical assistance to school personnel and families. Provide in-service, where applicable, to pertinent personnel, administrators, and parents regarding the education of students. Participate in external and internal task forces, committees or groups examining issues, services or programs for students with special needs. Identify, through appropriate screening procedures, students who need special instruction/intervention in speech and language.

Qualifications:

Must have appropriate, valid certification or license to practice speech/language therapy as recognized by the Ohio Department of Education.Specific skills in delivery of speech/language therapy services.Specific skills and experience in assessment and evaluation of students in need of speech/language therapy and translation of results in individualized plans in collaboration with the educational team.Basic minimal skill in use of sign language or finger spelling.Possess a scholarly competence in the structure and content of special education programs in addition to related State and Federal policies, procedures, and laws.
