Introduction
The Inside Sales Account Manager will be responsible for overseeing the full sales cycle within a defined territory. This includes coordinating activities with assigned distributors, tracking inventory levels, ensuring effective communication with clients, and driving the growth of business relationships. The position requires close coordination with regional teams to ensure effective sales strategies, stock management, training events, and timely follow-up on customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Relationship Management:
Follow the prescribed flow diagram within all branches in your territory to drive sales.Quoting different locations for assigned distributors and ensuring timely, accurate pricing.Develop and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key customers to promote business growth.Check in with clients regularly to ensure the relationship is moving forward and address any concerns proactively.
Inventory and Stock Management:
Pre-expedite backlogs weekly and provide updates to customers before they inquire.Regularly review inventory stocking levels at each location or hub and coordinate with regional teams to assess if the product mix is selling.Ensure alignment with EG4 inventories, ensuring stock availability when needed.Collaborate with regional teams to forecast and manage inventory levels effectively, avoiding stockouts or excess stock.
Training and Development:
Coordinate and set up training events based on current geographical locations, inventory trends, and sales data.Act as the main contact for distributors and clients for training sessions, providing necessary materials and resources.Attend all web-based training sessions to remain informed on product updates and industry best practices.
Sales Strategies and Cross-Selling:
Consistently sell Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs) to maximize sales efficiency.Cross-sell complementary products (e.g., batteries) and identify opportunities to bundle products, such as inverters and other related items.Track buying activities to identify trends and opportunities, adjusting strategies accordingly.
Coordination and Reporting:
Work closely with regional teams to coordinate leads and sales opportunities for the best possible ROI.Review open quotes and orders on a weekly basis to ensure timely follow-up and closure.Ensure marketing materials are effectively distributed and available at key distributor locations.Coordinate the placement and management of demo units at strategic distributor locations and showrooms.
Operational Support:
Ensure no double quoting occurs by collaborating with counterparts to prevent bidding against the same opportunity.Deliver Engineering Change Notifications (ECNs) to distribution partners in a timely manner.Keep regional teams informed of all sales activities, developments, and customer concerns.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Sales, or a related field (or equivalent experience).3-5 years of experience in sales, distribution, or a related field.Strong communication and negotiation skills.Familiarity with inventory management, forecasting, and product training.Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; CRM software experience a plus.Knowledge of industry products (e.g., batteries, inverters) is a plus.Physical Requirements:
