Position:

The Sharon Public Schools is seeking a .8 (4 day per week) Speech and Language Pathologist for the Heights Elementary School grades K-5 for the 24-25 school year.

Roles and responsibilities of the Speech Language Pathologist include but are not limited to:Provision of direct services which may include Fluency, Receptive and expressive language, voice and resonance, articulation, Hearing, including the impact on speech and language, Swallowing, Cognitive aspects of communication, Social aspects of communication, and Communication modalities, specifically AAC devicesAdminister Speech/Language evaluations and develop written evaluation reports for eligibility (to include diagnostic impressions abd educationally relevant recommendations)Participation in IEP meetingsDevelopment and implementation of IEP goalsProgress reportingCase management of Speech only IEP studentsConsultation to team members and parents font-family: verdana, sans-serif">Collaborate with other district Speech providersFacilitate Speech only Annual IEP meetings and all related paperwork as appropriateOther duties assigned by the Principal or Director of Student Services as applicable

The successful candidate will have school based experience and/or experience with elementary aged students with disabilities. Experience with students with Autism Spectrum Disorders preferred. font-family: verdana, sans-serif">3 years of related experience preferred

DESE licensure in Speech, Language, and Hearing Disorders (Levels: All) required.

Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology preferred.

Salary commensurate with experience in accordance with the Sharon Teachers Association Collective Bargaining Agreement.
