Position Summary

We are recruiting for a

vCIO Technical Advisor.

This is a new position within our company that serves as a crucial resource for our vCIO team, providing in-depth technical expertise to support account management and sales efforts. Reporting directly to the Senior vCIO Manager, this

100% remote

role bridges the gap between high-level business strategy and technical implementation, ensuring that our vCIOs can offer clients comprehensive, technically sound solutions that align with their business objectives. Critical in enhancing our vCIO team's capabilities within our IT Managed Services business, this position enables the delivery of innovative solutions that drive business success for our clients. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical knowledge, particularly in Microsoft technologies and network architecture, with the ability to support our vCIOs in their account management and sales functions, effectively translating complex technical concepts into tangible business value propositions.

Compensation:Base Compensation: $85,000 to $110,000.Benefits:

Provide expert technical advice to the vCIO team on complex client issues and proposed solutionsAnalyze clients' existing IT infrastructures and recommend improvements or upgradesAssist in developing technical aspects of IT roadmaps and strategic plansCollaborate with vCIOs to design tailored technical solutions that meet clients' business needsEvaluate emerging technologies and their potential application to client environmentsDevelop proof of concepts and technical demonstrations to support sales effortsKeep the vCIO team updated on the latest technology trends, best practices, and industry standardsConduct internal training sessions to enhance the technical knowledge of vCIOsCreate and maintain technical documentation to support the vCIO team's client engagementsParticipate in client meetings when deep technical expertise is requiredAssist in translating complex technical concepts into business terms for client presentationsSupport the vCIO team in addressing technical objections during the sales processEvaluate and recommend technology vendors and solutionsAssist in technical aspects of contract negotiations and service level agreement reviewsMaintain relationships with key technology partners to stay informed about product roadmapsProvide expert guidance on Microsoft technologies commonly used in business environmentsAssist in designing and optimizing network architectures for clientsCollaborate with the Senior vCIO Manager to align technical strategies with overall business goalsQualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; OR equivalent work experience as a vCIO or Service Delivery ManagerMinimum of 8 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a senior technical roleCurrent or past experience as a vCIO or Service Delivery Manager is highly preferredProven track record of designing and implementing complex IT solutions across various technologies, with a focus on Microsoft ecosystemsDeep understanding of enterprise IT architecture, including cloud computing, networking, cybersecurity, and data management, with particular emphasis on network architectureStrong knowledge of current and emerging Microsoft technologies relevant to managed service providersFamiliarity with IT governance frameworks and industry regulations specific to IT Managed ServicesExcellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiencesStrong problem-solving and analytical abilitiesAbility to work collaboratively with the vCIO team and adapt to changing client needs in a remote work environmentExperience with remote collaboration tools and methodologies
