to support the Military Sealift Command (MSC) contract in Chesapeake, VA.
HOW OUR SENIOR IT TECHNICIAN
WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
:
Responsible for directing technical work on projects.Leads rollouts of router and switch upgrades for the MSC fleet.Performs a variety of analyses and prepares documentation.Prepares and makes briefings and presentations.Works independently and installs, operates, maintains, configures, troubleshoots, and repairs IT systems devices, circuits, cables, components, software, and end-user devices, components, and connectivity.Assists in the development and management of project plans to include the review of task performance and work products for correctness, for adherence to design concepts and user requirements, and for progress IAW schedules.Coordinates with the Contractor's project manager and Government user representatives to ensure accurate solutions and user satisfaction on technical matters.Current MSC systems include:
Afloat Classified Global Operating System Version 2 and 3 (ACG-V2 and ACG v3)Maintenance Figure of Merit (MFOM)Next Generation Wideband (NGW)Shipboard Management Information System - Unclassified (SMIS-U)Shipboard Management Information System - Classified (SMIS-C)Afloat Release 2 (AR2)PC to PC Transfer System (PPTS)Common PC Operating Environment (COMPOSE)Automated Digital Network System (ADNS)Combined Enterprise Regional Information Exchange System (CENTRIX)Global Command and Control System - Maritime (GCCS-M)Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services (CANES)Host Based Security System (HBSS)Commercial Broadband Satellite Program (CBSP)Ship's Security Alert System (SSAS)Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS)WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED (Required):

7 years of progressive IT experience including at least 5 projects in technical areas. At least one project must have occurred within the past 3 years.Experience leading teams.Required Certifications:
Security + CE certification; certification in current MSC operating systems. CCNA Certification {or obtain within 6 months of start date).Education:
High School diplomaRequired Technical Skills:
experience with Windows systems administration, software and hardware troubleshooting and end-user support. Windows OS training.Travel Requirement:

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $33.03 - $44.69. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
