Our client in Boston MA is looking for 2 Appian Developers to develop and manage software applications based on Appian framework. This position will collaborate closely with stake holders, business analyst, project manager and other developers to create applications that streamline business processes and meet customer needs.
This contract is a hybrid position and does require some onsite in Boston, MA
Responsibilities/Experience/Qualifications:
Primary ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and deploy low code automation applications and solutions to automate business processesBuild and configure processes, rules, user interfaces, and data integrations using a configurable low code solutionUnderstand database and data modelingParticipate in designing data model for application based on business requirementsIntegrate with enterprise shared services or third-party softwareFollow Agile practices to streamline development process and ensure flexibility and responsiveness to changesEnsure best practices, including reusability, scalability, and performance optimizationCollaborate with stakeholders and business analyst to understand business requirements and translate them into a low code solutionWork with project manager and other developers to coordinate the development life cycle of the applicationPerform unit and system testing, debugging, and troubleshooting for developed applicationsMonitor and support deployed applications, addressing issues and implementing improvements as neededStay up to date with the latest platform features, enhancements, and best practicesDocument application designs, configurations, and procedures for support and training purposes
Qualifications
Minimum BS/CS with 4+ years of hands-on experienceStrong experience in software development life cycleBackground in Java platform and/or JavaScriptExperience with Hibernate or other similar platforms is preferredFamiliarity with Agile development methodologiesStrong experience with data modeling and problem-solving skillsProficient in writing complex SQL queries, preferred with some experience in database design or modellingExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively with cross-functional teamsExcellent written and oral communication skills
Preferred Skills
Experience with Java, JavaScript, or other relevant programming languagesKnowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD toolsFamiliarity with data integration tools and ETL processes
