Principal Software Engineer - AI Infrastructure Engineering at Oracle in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Job Description Are you someone with a passion for taking on big challenges? Are you interested in AI and If so, then AI Infrastructure Engineering in Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) has a great opportunity. We're looking for a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our team on developing cutting-edge tools to maintain and improve AI and GPU service stability, reliability, operability, and features critical to ensure customer workloads run seamlessly on OCI cloud. We're looking for strong leaders with background in distributed systems, scalability, availability, and passion towards customer satisfaction to help build and maintain cloud scale services. As an individual contributor, you will apply your experience and technical depth in creating optimized solutions to improve OCI's AI and GPU services. Please note, we're hiring for multiple levels of positions from Senior to Senior Principal. Career Level - IC4 Responsibilities Minimum Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent proven experience + We're hiring for multiple levels from IC3-IC5. + 3-10+ years' experience building and operating large scale, highly available, cloud based distributed systems + Proficiency in a modern programming language such as Java, C, C++, C#, Go, or Python, with proficiency in additional languages preferred + Validated understanding of operating system fundamentals + Strong understanding of data models and distributed persistence technologies + Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills + Proficiency in network, distributed, asynchronous, and concurrent programming + Knowledge of professional software engineering standard methodologies for the full software development process + Strong verbal and written communication skills + Strong analytical skills, with excellent problem solving abilities Preferred Qualifications + Experience in Agile/SCRUM enterprise-scale software development + Experience with big data solutions + Proven track record to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast-paced environment + Experience building and operating scalable infrastructure software or distributed systems + Experience using Amazon Web Services such as EC2, EBS, Lambda, Dynamo and S3 or equivalents + Passion for technical leadership and mentoring + Direct experience with fle To view full details and how to apply, please login or create a Job Seeker account
