PC TECHNICIAN
REPORTS
To Director of Technology
BASIC PURPOSE
Under the direction of the Director of Technology, assisting in performing computer equipment repair. Work involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing computer and data communications equipment throughout the district.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
• Repairs and upgrades PC Workstations
• Provides Microsoft Office support to staff
• Take ownership and responsibility of all onsite technology
• Improve on existing IT process
• Installs network equipment and maintain connections
• Troubleshoots and support Microsoft Windows Devices (Windows 7 and Windows 10)
• Troubleshoots and support Apple Products (iPads, iPhones, and Macbooks)
• Partner with team in maintenance of SCCM, Intune, and Jamf infrastructure
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Provides technology support to all district staff
• Provides network administration assistance when needed
• Provide immediate support while juggling multiple projects and tasks
• Troubleshoots A-V multimedia systems
• Connect and setup various peripherals; i.e. printers, scanners, modems, etc.
• Prioritize tasks and be extremely efficient

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum two-year associate degree in electronic technology, computer technology or equivalent
• Ability to work independently and provide progress reports
• Professional qualifications will be a plus
• Knowledge of hardware, software and peripherals
• Extensive knowledge of enterprise class desktop software such as Windows OS, Mac OS, and IOS.
• Ability to operate personal computers, networking equipment printers and barcode readers
• Ability to prepare accurate reports and provide quick and innovative solutions to computing problems
• Knowledge of software diagnostic tools and their use
• Ability to remove and reinstall hardware components
• Ability to establish and maintain helpful and friendly atmosphere for computer and network support
• Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with staff
• Good organization and time-management skills
• Good communication skills and Customer service Skills
• Ability to work with frequent interruptions
• Must be able to work some evenings and weekends and to be available on short notice to resolve problems
• Ability to drive a car and travel to different sites
SALARYSalary will be regionally competitive and based upon experience
