REAL ALLOY is the market leader in third-party aluminum recycling and specification alloy production. Headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, we have 17 plants strategically located across the United States, Mexico, and Canada. We convert aluminum scrap and by-products into reusable aluminum metal for a growing number of applications across various industries. We are ideally positioned to respond to the needs of an increasingly recycling-conscious world. Advanced technologies enable us to process a large variety of scrap and dross and reduce the amount of residual waste from aluminum manufacturing that would otherwise end up as landfill.
Responsibilities
As the new
REAL ALLOY Sr Accountant , you will assist the Real Alloy Finance team with day-to-day corporate accounting operations to include Month-End Close, Reconciliations, Financial Reporting and ERP system maintenance.
Sr Accountant responsibilities include:
AccountingPerform various month end tasks including the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and other corporate accounting dutiesPerform complete intercompany transactions to include invoicing and balancingAssist with hedge accounting transactions and communications and reconciliationAssist with lease funding, accounting and reconciliation supportPerform month end and quarter end tasks including reporting schedules and supporting documentationUpdate and maintain debt schedulesAssist with financial reporting for management and stakeholdersAssist with technical research and understanding of US GAAP requirementsSupport annual audit process to include maintaining integrity of financial statements and disclosures and US GAAP complianceInformation Systems
Participate in Finance system enhancementsMaintain the financial reporting systems monthlyEnsure the accuracy of financial reports generated from the ERP systemTroubleshoot ERP discrepancies related to financial reportingQualifications
Sr Accountant
Bachelor's degree in accounting5 years' experience including general ledger accounting, SEC reporting, public accounting and GAAPExperience with ERP systemsAdvanced in Microsoft excel and familiar with the Microsoft Suite
