Introduction Make a difference for national security by joining a team of dedicated IT professionals who will sustain, modernize and transform the enterprise IT capabilities for the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA). The Air Force and Combatant Commands Business Group of SAIC is seeking a Windows Systems Engineer to support a transformational infrastructure program for DCSA.
SAIC is proud to be supporting DCSA in safeguarding our nation's information. DCSA is the designated oversight authority on the accreditation of classified facilities, information systems, and the insider threat program. This involves security oversight of more than 10,000 companies and approximately 13,000 facilities involved in classified work throughout the DoD and 31 Federal agencies.
Specifically, on the DCSA One IT program, SAIC will provide an enterprise IT solution that delivers highly secured and adaptable IT infrastructure, provides customer support, and cutting-edge technologies that support operations and advance the DCSA mission under a single IT environment (i.e., One IT).
Job Description The selected candidate will be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems software and related infrastructure. This individual participates in the entire lifecycle process, from technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure, through to application/product delivery. This individual ensures that system, operating systems and related procedures adhere to organizational policies and regulations. The successful candidate will be managing the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running Windows operating systems. Candidate will manage multiple Windows domains, using Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft End Point Configuration Manager, PowerShell and various tools and processes.
Key ResponsibilitiesManages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running Windows operating systemsMaintains the integrity and security of servers and systemsUse PowerShell to automate tasks, deploy applications and other infrastructure related tasksDevelops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resourcesEvaluates vendor productsDevelop and oversees implementation of testing strategies and documentation of resultsProvides guidance and leadership to less-experienced staff membersMaintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assignedMaintains systems documentationQualifications
Required Qualifications It is required that the Windows Systems Engineer have the following qualifications
Bachelors Degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science.Nine (9) or more years of relevant experience. An additional four (4) years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.Top Secret clearance (with SCI eligibility).One or more of the following IAT-II Certifications CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND and/or Security+ CE.Desired Qualifications
TS/SCIFamiliarity with data center technologies to includeCabling requirements; racking of servers; experience with Dell hardware solutions to include Unity and Integrated Data Protection Appliance systems.SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.
Covid Policy SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
