Internal Accounting Manager - Tax

position being in any of our office locations:

Cleveland, Akron, or Youngstown, OH.

Responsibilities

Be the main point of contact for "all things tax" within our Internal Accounting departmentRecord monthly Tax Trial Balances by entity

Equity tracking, basis trackingEnsure M&A activity is recorded correctly for taxTax to GAAP adjustments

Assist and project manage all tax filings

FederalSALT, including transfer of workers compensation rates to new entitiesTax creditsPersonal PropertyBy state allocations

General cleaning of accounts & reconcilingHelp with M&A Analysis as we continue to growAssist with forecasting taxable income & allocations by ownerQualifications

Bachelor's degree required4+ years of applicable experienceHighly detail orientedProficient in Outlook and Word, advanced user of ExcelReliable and ability to work independently to manage tasks, projects, and deadlinesEffective and professional communication skillsStrong analytical and critical thinking skillsExperience with a service based business preferredAbout Cohen & Company
