A DAY IN THE LIFE:
Responsible for performing general accounting duties, including but not limited to payroll journal entries, fixed asset and prepaid accounting, recording of cash transactions including international activity, intercompany reconciliations, month-end accruals, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, month-end journal entries and preliminary review of financial statements and related reports in accordance with GAAP policies and procedures. Participates in quarterly reviews/annual audits and special projects. Works with internal SOX team and external auditors to provide required information and ensure proper recordkeeping for SOX and historical purposes.Prepares journal entries, analyzes transactions, and prepare reconciliations for balance sheet accounts for multiple legal entities in different currencies.Reviews payroll journal entries and enters into ERP. Works closely with the payroll team to determine proper classification of payroll and stock related transactions.Records accruals including salaries, payroll tax, bonus, commission, PTO ESPP and other payroll accruals as well as department reclasses monthly.Assists in managing fixed asset accounts, including monthly additions, transfers, disposals, depreciation, and CIP, as well as assistance with property tax reporting.Reconciles international bank statements to general ledger and participates in cash management reporting.Prepares month end journal entries, making adjusting entries and determining how transactions should be recorded (including but not limited to various payroll and other accruals, fixed asset accounting, prepaids and international cash transactions).Assists in maintaining financial reporting software (Adaptive and Management Reporter) as well as structure of financial statements.Reviews and analyzes departmental profit and loss including employee related expenses.Plays a key role in the month-end close process to adequately meet reporting deadlines.Prepares various quarterly and annual audit schedules.Interfaces with outside auditors and provides requested information during review and audit periods.Confirms completion of required training plan before assuming job responsibilities.Ensures compliance with company policies, including Privacy/HIPAA, and other legal and regulatory requirements.YOU'RE AWESOME AT :
Demonstrates knowledge of general accounting rules and general ledger account structure.Familiarity with Fixed Asset and GL modules of ERP systems. Microsoft Dynamics AX preferred.Familiarity with multi-currency accounting.Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.Skilled at presenting information in a clear, concise manner to all levels within the department.Skilled at consistently contributing to team initiatives in a thorough and timely manner.Able to react to changing situations in a timely, calm, and confident manner.EXTRA AWESOME:
BS degree in accounting or equivalent education and applicable job experience.3 plus years' accounting experience in a corporate accounting department.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
The starting base pay range for this position is $64,000 - $75,000 annually. Base pay will vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and may also fluctuate depending on candidate's location and the overall job market. In addition to base pay, Tandem offers a competitive compensation package that includes bonus, equity, and a robust benefits package.
Tandem offers health care benefits such as medical, dental, vision, health savings accounts and flexible saving accounts.
