Summary:
The
Golfer Insights & Research Manager
will work cross-functionally with golf ball leadership and golf ball marketing teams as a strategic thought partner and Golfer Insights expert to provide the business with data-driven insights and strategic recommendations.
Responsibilities:Design and execute custom research for the Titleist and Pinnacle golf ball businesses inclusive of methodology selection, questionnaire design, programming, analysis and reporting of insights.Golfer Insights lead for the golf ball business and broader golf ball marketing team for the Titleist and Pinnacle brands, working as a strategic thought partner and insights expert in support of the golf ball business goals.Identify appropriate research methodologies, analytic techniques, and research partners, and manage the RFP and vendor selection process for golf ball research and insights, as needed.Manage industry and secondary data relationships, oversee market share tracking, and mine industry and secondary data for insights and trends to inform the golf ball business.Experience with consumer trends monitoring is a plus.Support and in some instances lead Golfer Insights initiatives such as Brand Tracking, segmentation, creative and message testing, concept testing, pricing research, and custom research projects.Provide direction for global markets on US golf ball insights and help them identify potential golfer insights studies to field and assist markets with establishing criteria for research and share best practices.Design and execute ongoing golf ball insights learning agenda, in partnership with Golfer Insights leadership and golf ball marketing leadership.Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree required.Minimum of 8 years of market research and consumer insights experience, a mix of vendor and client-side experience preferred.Some domestic travel approximately.Expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies; ability to select appropriate research methods to answer business questions; experience with- and knowledge of analytic techniques such Driver Analysis, choice tasks (Max Diff, Conjoint, etc.), and structural equation modeling (SEM); strong golf knowledge and passion for the game; strong analytical and strategic thinking and the ability to tell compelling stories using data and insights; familiarity with DIY/self-service survey platforms; ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment; knowledge of strategic marketing principles.
