Description
Novel Energy Solutions L.L.C. has an exciting new opportunity for a self-starter who is motivated to advance their finance career. The position is a new role within the company due to the increasing growth and complexity of our business.
Strong financial analysis, modeling, and communication skills will be necessary to work collaboratively across the company with project development, in-house construction team, legal, accounting, as well as our external partners.
The FP&A Director will support and report to the VP of Finance as a new role to enhance the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function of Novel Energy Solutions L.L.C.
What you'll do:
Create and execute on a vision to develop world-class FP&A capabilities for the company.Lead the development and modeling of corporate and project cashflows (working with Project Finance to finalize project models, then work with project management and construction to map timing of project and portfolio inflows, outflows, as one example)Prepare the company's short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts, analyze project profitability, assumptions, scenario modelingPrepare solar project-level financial models for selling or owning projects.Develop and prepare the company's annual and 5-year financial forecast.Develop and prepare monthly departmental budget-to-actual reporting.Partner with the CFO and COO to compile and present the company's key financial metrics to internal departments and external partners.Coordinate with legal and other departments to assist in the closing process and project communications with respect to construction debt, permanent debt, and tax equity.Partner with the business development team to assist in assessing economic viability of acquisition opportunities.Develop financial summaries, as needed, in excel, powerpoint, etc. for internal and external consumption.Manage 3rd party FP&A support vendors.Other duties, as assigned by the CFO.What you'll need:• At least 3 years of relevant FP&A or investment banking experience working within the renewable energy, real estate, or construction industries.• Bachelor's in finance, accounting, economics, or a relevant degree• Project finance modeling experience.• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Sharepoint.• Proficient with Netsuite or similar ERP.• Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.• Ability to work independently, multi-task, think critically, prioritize, and meet assigned deadlines in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
