Data ScientistLiveWhat you will do

In this vital role you will be part of the ASDP group providing support to Amgens commercial portfolio through application of process monitoring, data engineering, data analysis through statistical and machine learning algorithms, and engineering principles. Responsibilities will include identifying abnormal data trends in product and method data, identification of root causes for trends and collaborating cross-functionally to implement corrections. In addition, this role will focus on identifying and deploying optimization opportunities. The position offers the opportunity to engage with multiple product modalities across a global manufacturing and quality control network.Apply statistical trending tools to product and method data Apply engineering principles and multivariate statistical analysis in-order to understand sources of variation and evaluate opportunities for improvementsUse data analytics software to develop visualizations to review, assess, and improve analytical method performanceInterface with analytical scientists, process development scientists, and engineers to assess, understand, and support data consumption needsInterface with product quality, QC, quality assurance, and manufacturing organizations to resolve method issuesSupport ongoing GMP activities such as the generation of the annual product review documents, regulatory inspections, and process documentationStays abreast of new technologies and statistical approaches to recommend improvementWinWhat we expect of you

High school diploma / GED and 8 years of Engineering or data sciences experience ORAssociates degree and 6 years of Engineering or data sciences experience ORBachelors degree and 2 years of Engineering or data sciences experience ORMasters degreePreferred Qualifications:
1-3 years of experience in a Biotech/Pharma Process Development and/or Manufacturing Support roleExperience with engineering principles and statistical analysisAble to understand and apply statistical process control conceptsDemonstrated ability to work under minimal direction.Possess understanding of regulatory and cGMP requirementsAbility to deliver high quality results in a timely mannerExcellent written and verbal communicationAbility to solve difficult, non-routine analysis problems, applying advanced analytical methods as neededStrong leadership skills and decision-making abilities.Able to adapt to changing business needs and operational requirements.Familiarity with systems used for data analyticsUnderstanding of data structures, data types, and system thinking conceptsAble to multi-task and function in a dynamic environmentPossesses strong influencing and negotiation skillsAbility to develop a comprehensive understanding of Amgen data structures and metricThriveWhat you can expect of us

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
