Salary:Salary placement shall be made by the Board or the Board designee and is commensurate with education and experience pursuant to the APT Negotiated AgreementFor the 24/25 school year positions will start at Row E, with a
maximum
of 10 years of previous experience credit awarded, (Row E up to Row O based on previous experience on the attached salary schedule). Experience will be verified.
Hours:FTE: 0.59 Month Position
Description:
Screen and evaluate students to determine needs and breadth of speech and language services.Schedule and provide therapy to students utilizing a variety of intervention service models.Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with parents, staff, and students on progress.Meet regularly with teachers, paraprofessionals and specialists to discuss individual student's modifications or adaptations, ongoing learning issues, interventions or problems. Work collaboratively to ensure student's needs are metComplete required documentation and data collection necessary for IEP reports, goals and diagnostic evaluations.Participate in staff development and school improvement activities in order to maintain professional growth. Plan and incorporate best practices or new strategies.Experience in Rtl practices.Participate in events outside of the regularly scheduled work day such as orientation, open houses, conferences or extra-curricular activities.Perform other related duties as assigned.Please refer to the attached job description.Qualifications:
Professional Educator License Registered in Will CountyState of Illinois Speech & Language Pathologist Endorsement (SLPN)Application Procedure:Apply online
