Project and Development Manager

to join our dynamic DoveHill team in Fort Lauderdale, FL to take the lead on shaping high-profile hospitality projects. As the Project & Development Manager you will oversee all aspects of development and renovations for luxury hospitality properties under management of Wurzak Hotel Group. From

Duties & Responsibilities:

Work closely with the C-suite of DoveHill and the executive team of Wurzak Hotel Group team

Assist in assessing and underwriting new development and acquisition opportunities as far as estimate construction costs and develop project budgets

Oversee all facets of the development/renovation process including planning, design, entitlement, construction / renovation, programming, value engineering, coordination with Operations, and delivery of the Hotels.

Coordinate all building and interior design related elements of all hotels to meet brand and project goals. Project Manage all PIP and Lifecycle improvements as required by brand.

Work closely with the Executive Team to solicit bids, review and select, and contract Project Teams including, Interior Designers, Architects, construction professionals, General Contractors, Subcontractors, Vendors, FF&E Purchasing Agents, and Consultants.

Thoroughly reviewing civil, architectural, and interior design plans to ensure accuracy, compliance, and drive quality and cost effectiveness through value-engineering.

Assist in implementation of design and planning documents; design management includes managing architectural and engineering teams and all third-party consultants.

Manage overall project schedule, costing, and budgets. Including detailed development schedules, reports, timelines and cost estimates.

Prepare and maintain the financial projections, project budget, and monthly draw requests and related analyses for the development and operation of the projects.

Meet regularly with Hotel Operations to schedule, coordinate access, and monitor construction progress. This includes activities such as material staging, mobilization, protection, construction, and managing punch lists.

Participate in project bidding negotiation, contractor section and contract negotiation. Act as a resource and liaison to property-level Engineering teams as it relates to CapEx projects and 5-year CapEx plans.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or MBA in Construction Management, Engineering, or Real Estate Development.

4+ Years in Real Estate Development and or Construction Management with an emphasis on vertical development, land development and project management and the demonstrated ability to build and direct effective teams to manage major development/renovation projects.

Advanced knowledge and understanding of architectural documentation, including the ability to read, understand, and mark-up plans and specifications.

Advanced knowledge and understanding of the development and renovation process and construction practices.

Advanced knowledge in Excel, bonus points for Revit, Bluebeam, Adobe Suite, and AutoCAD. Working knowledge of full Microsoft Suite, Adobe, and Google App Suite.

Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and work well under pressure to meet established deadlines and budgets. Highly organized and able to pivot as priorities shift..

Strong preference for a background in hospitality or working knowledge of hospitality operations.

Travel approximately 30% of the time to be onsite at active job sites, balance in the office in downtown Fort Lauderdale.
