Neel Veterinary Hospital is now hiring a full-time Veterinarian - Criticalist to join our team!
We are a 14,000 square feet 24/7 hybrid - emergency, general practice, and specialty animal veterinary hospital in the heart of Oklahoma City. Neel Veterinary Hospital was founded by Dr. Tina Neel over 3 decades ago. We take great pride in our continuous growth to provide Gold Standard Care to our patients. We are a staple in the community and across the state of Oklahoma.
We currently employ 20 doctors, including multiple specialists (surgery and ABVP). We also have multiple small animal rotating and exotic Interns and over 80 support staff onsite.
Key Responsibilities
Our hospital prides itself on being able to meet almost all of the needs of the patients 24 hours a day. With over 100 patients coming into our facility every day, our doctors have the opportunity to exercise their knowledge and skillsets, as well as learn something new, on every shift.

Three shifts per week will qualify you for full-time employment status. This position would be exclusively in our 3,000 sqft ICU, overseeing treatment of our hospitalized patients. Our ICU is staffed with multiple RVTs and Assistants each shift that are focused on the ICU patients' care.We are searching for a Criticalist who likes managing patient care without the chaos of ER intake (those ER intakes are the responsibility of our ER DVMs).This is a great position for a Criticalist with emergency veterinary experience, but is seeking a more controlled shift experience. Our ICU staff are highly skilled and trained to execute your treatment plans for the patients.
If you are interested in this position and live out of state, we do offer a travel stipend for those who would like to tour our hospital, meet our doctors, and management staff, spend time getting know what a normal day might be like on duty as well as tour OKC itself. We also offer virtual hospital tours and interviews via Zoom.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Authorization to work in US or ability to obtain necessary authorization - sponsorship is available.Ability to work 3 shifts per week (full-time).Great communication skills with co-workers and clients.A positive attitude.Boarded veterinarian in emergency and critical care is preferred.Must be licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Oklahoma.Benefits
