Team Lead Assembler (Level C)
for the
Final Assembly Wing Laydown Team
in
North Charleston, South Carolina on 2nd shift!
The Team Lead will be performing tasks in the following areas; pre-shift planning, crew meetings, team status updates, labor loss, production control, training, process improvement and Lean/BPS (Boeing Production System).
Position Responsibilities:
Performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools.Builds effective resource plans.Identifies and communicates risks to First Line Leader.Updates and communicates BPS metrics.Identifies KPI improvement actions.Assigns daily work.Leads team in daily safety check-in.Monitors and reports daily progress to plan.Works with support organizations and First Line Leader to mitigate performance risk.Documents and communicates shift turnover.Establishes overtime requirements and staffing.Responsible for monitor and control of 5S.Uses Rapid Problem Solving (RPS) and coordinates with Line Side Control Center (LSCC) to address issues.Creates and monitors standardized work instructions.Supports teammates to improve their job performance including identifying training.Responsible for BPS process improvements.Understands the organization's vision, goals, and objectives; lead team to excel in daily performance and achieve higher levels of safety, quality, and efficiency.Follows team leader standard work. Immediately respond to team member issues within 30 seconds; if unable to resolve within span of control and under 30 minutes, contact LSCC.Facilitates daily plan and performance review with team.Ensures team members understand key performance indicators and embrace the goals set.Aligns to strategic goals by working with team to identify ideas or projects for process improvement and all elements of safety, quality, delivery, cost, innovation, and people.Coaches team members on standardized work starting with on-boarding through daily utilization and including any gaps identified.Monitors the Line Side Control Center progress and problem screens.Identifies roadblocks that are inhibiting progress; seeks help from leadership and support, when required.Encourages and lead a culture of continuous improvement and systematic problem solving.Assists in the elimination of defects through systematic problem solving and coordination with upstream processes.Must maintain Fall Protection Certification.Exhibits Boeing behavior.This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at North Charleston, SC.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Must be willing to work 2nd shift.1+ years of experience with 787 Operations.1+ years of experience in general assembly.1+ years of experience in structures.1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point).1+ years of experience with Velocity system.1+ years of experience with REDARS.Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3+ years of Formal or Informal Leadership Experience.3+ years of experience creating PU's, EPD and SRR.3+ years of experience with composite panels.3+ years of experience working with pneumatic tools and drills.3+ years of experience with aircraft electrical systems.3+ years of experience in wire bundle installations.Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).
Relocation:
