General Summary
Serves as the campus administrator for Grand Island Campus and Kearney Center Student Success and Enrollment Management operations including the offices of Admissions/Enrollment, Career and Employment Services, Student Activities/Engagement, Transfer Advising, Academic Success Center and other essential services. Plans, administers, and evaluates all student services functions and processes. Supervises full and part-time staff. Leads the campus CARE Team, Commencement, New Student Orientations, and other critical student service operations and events for the campus. In collaboration with the Division Dean and Division Vice-President, provides leadership for the development and implementation of procedures and processes for the Grand Island Campus and Kearney Center Student Success and Enrollment Management operations.

Monitors individual and departmental performance and recommends strategies for improved effectiveness and responsiveness to student needs. Regularly reviews both individual and departmental goals and objectives. Researches and recommends to staff new or modified programs for implementation. Ensures assigned staff are receiving appropriate professional development. Hires, supervises, trains, and evaluates all direct reports. Makes appropriate recommendations regarding assignments, discipline and discharge, promotions and other applicable employment actions.

Actively engages in short- and long-range institutional planning with both instructional and non-instructional Deans and Associate Deans. Collaborates with other campus and college administrators to identify, develop, and implement new programs and services, recruitment and retention initiatives, facility remodeling and campus improvement efforts, and marketing campaigns.

Responds to, addresses, and remedies student crises and incidents on the Grand Island campus and Kearney Center at various times of day/night. Reports to campus occasionally on weekends and evenings to oversee emergency response efforts, to support staff, and to help ensure well-being of students.

Responsible for the leadership and oversight of the campus CARE Team, including leading weekly meetings to address student behaviors of concern and maintenance of records in Maxient system. Provides training opportunities for team members and for the Grand Island Campus and Kearney Center on CARE Team issues. In accordance with the NABITA model, national best practices, and established collegewide processes, guides CARE Team members in risk assessment, case management, crisis intervention, and resource allocation for students of concern and those in distress.

In collaboration with the Collegewide Director of Student Development, assists with the investigation and adjudication processes for reported violations of the Student Code of Conduct on the Grand Island Campus and designated center locations. Educates students individually and in groups on behavioral expectations as well as student rights and responsibilities in relation to the conduct process. Makes referrals to the Director of Student Development and provides consultation support related to students of concern and patterns of student behavior. Assists with interviewing of complainants, respondents, and witnesses involved in conduct cases, as needed.

As requested by the Vice President/Title IX Coordinator, serves as a member of the Title IX Resolution Team and as a Title IX Investigator for investigations collegewide. Provides prompt, effective and equitable investigation into alleged cases of civil rights violations. Interviews complainants, respondents, and witnesses. Evaluates evidence and investigation details, relative to college policies and procedures, and issues findings in written reports to the Title IX Coordinator. Required to complete ATIXA certification trainings regularly. .

In collaboration with the Director of Counseling and Prevention Education Services/504 Coordinator, assists with initiatives and services to help promote the well-being, safety, and success for students on Grand Island Campus and Kearney Center. Consults with Counseling Services and Disability Services on sensitive student matters. Directs staff on protocols related to these office areas and enlists staff support for services and programming. Makes recommendations for service enhancements as needed.

Coordinates with and provides guidance and training to campus security personnel and learning center personnel related to student conduct and federal campus safety requirements. Determines need and coordinates additional security coverage for special events or circumstances.

Develops recommendations for new positions or reallocation of existing personnel dollars. Develops budget proposals, assists with grant development, researches costs and budgetary implications to fund new programs and services.
